It is a case of offence under section 498-A of the Indian Penal Code and related offences. Marriage between applicant no.1 and respondent no.2 - wife in Criminal Application No.638 of 2023

638.2023APPLN -2has been dissolved by decree of divorce in terms of section 13(B) of the Hindu Marriage Act. One of the terms namely item no.3 of dissolution of marriage with consent is that the prosecution for the offence under section 498-A of IPC is to be disposed of. 2.

The learned advocate for respondent no.2 is present before the Court. She reiterate the same on behalf of respondent no.2/wife. 3.

In view of the same, the applications are allowed in terms of prayer clause "B".
