Mr. Ingole the learned counsel submits that the post of Sarpanch of Group Grampanchayat Karla is reserved for General Women category. Initially, the reservation was drawn on 19.11.2020 and the said post was reserved for OBC category. The petitioner is elected as a Member of the said Grampanchayat from OBC category. There was no reason for changing the reservation and reserving it for General Women category if the said post was reserved for General Women category in the year 2020 also.

We have heard the learned AGP for the respondents/State.

The elections are over. The post for OBC was reserved in the year 2005, in the year 2010 for General Women and now, it is reserved for General Women. When the reservation was made on 19.11.2020, it was canceled on 16.12.2020. At that time, the petitioner did not challenge the said cancellation of reservation and has approached the Court only after the fresh draws were made. The petitioner is not in a position to place on record the data of the entire taluka referable to the population.
