The Petitioner claims to belongs to "Kunbi"

caste, which is included in Other Backward Category. The Petitioner is taking education in

commerce faculty and requires validation certificate for securing certain benefits. The Petitioner contends that the Scrutiny Committee does not accept the proposal directly, as such he is required to approach this Court for issuance of necessary directions.

We do not find any difficulty in directing Respondent No.2 - Scrutiny Committee to accept the proposal that would be tendered by the Petitioner, for validation of the caste certificate issued in his favour, and take appropriate decision in the matter in observance of the procedure prescribed in that behalf, and it is accordingly directed.

If the Petitioner tenders proposal within the period of FOUR WEEKS from today, Respondent No.2 - Scrutiny Committee shall accept the same and take appropriate decision in the matter as expeditiously as possible, preferably within the

period of ONE YEAR from the date of receipt of the proposal.

4.

With the direction as above, the Writ Petition stands disposed of.
