PER COURT :- The petitioner is challenging the election of Smt. Rahubai Pandoji Bele, respondent No.7 as a Chairman of the Panchayat Samiti, Vasmat. The respondent No.7 has been elected unopposed as Chairman in the meeting conducted on 14.9.2014. The petitioner contends that Rules relating to rotation of reservation have not been properly applied and seat of Chairman ought not to have been reserved for woman category. It was open for the petitioner to raise the challenge at the stage of draw of lots or at the stage of prescription of reservation. The petitioner has approached this Court six months after the election of Chairman of Panchayat Samiti. Even otherwise, the writ petition does not deserve any consideration.
