The petitioner seeks permission to terminate the pregnancy. The petitioner was referred to the Expert Committee constituted by the Dean, Government Medical College and Hospital, Aurangabad. The Expert Committee has examined the petitioner and submitted the report. The relevant part of the report reads thus :

Recommended by Medical Method with due material risk. Surgical intervention & blood transfusion may be required. The risk involved in the said procedure is explained to the patient & her husband.

The Expert Committee has recommended termination of pregnancy. The risk involved is also explained to the petitioner and her husband. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that, the petitioner is made aware of the risk involved in termination of pregnancy. The petitioner wants to proceed with the termination of pregnancy.

In the light of the above and in view of the opinion of the Expert Committee, the petitioner is permitted to terminate her pregnancy at any Government recognized centre. 4.

The writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
