Perusal of the record shows that initially the petition was filed as Writ Petition No. 3562 of 1994 at Principal Seat. Mr. N.V. Pradhan, learned Counsel was appearing for the petitioner. Subsequently, the matter was transferred to this Bench and it was renumbered as Writ Petition No.1683 of 2006. On 2nd March, 1995 'Rule' was granted in the petition and the petition was directed to be heard along with Writ Petition No.1637 of 1989.

Perusal of the record shows that the petitioner was served with transfer notice, none appeared for the petitioner. The record further shows that connected petition i.e. Writ Petition No. 1637 of 1989 was dismissed by this Court on 30th July, 2001 for non prosecution.

It seems that the petitioner is not interested in prosecuting the petition. The petition is accordingly dismissed for non prosecution.
