The Petitioners have put forth prayer clause B, as under:- "B] By issuing writ of mandamus, directions or order or any appropriate order in the like nature, the Respondent 2 to 4 may kindly be directed to decide the application dated 26.06.2022, 12.05.2023, 10.10.2023 and 15.01.2024 of the petitioners under the Land Acquisition Act within stipulated period and also direct to the respondents pay the rental compensation amount with interest thereon within stipulated period."

Heard the learned Advocate for the Petitioner and the learned AGP on behalf of the Respondents/ State. We have perused the representations which pertain to the prayer for rental compensation.

In view of the above, this Writ Petition is disposed off with a direction to Respondent No.2 to deal with the representations of the Petitioners on their own merits by following the due procedure laid down in law and pass appropriate orders, within a period of 120 days from today. If the Petitioners are entitled for rental compensation along with interest, if any, the payment of such amount shall be made as expeditiously as possible and preferably within 90 days thereafter.

Deficit court fees of Rs.11,900/- shall be deposited within two days as per the statement of the learned Advocate for the Petitioners.
