The petitioner is challenging the reservation for the post of Sarpanch of Grampanchayat Ghungrala. The petitioner is elected from from O.B.C. category. The post of Sarpanch of the said Grampanchayat is reserved for O.B.C. (women). The learned counsel submits that earlier before the cancellation of the draws, the same was reserved from O.B.C. (general) category. There is no reason to cancel the said draw.

The learned counsel further contends that the seat ought to have been reserved for the O.B.C. (general) category.

Post of Sarpanch of the said Grampanchayat was reserved for O.B.C. general in 2000-2005. Since 1995, the said post was never never reserved O.B.C. (women).

We do not find any error to reserve the post for O.B.C. (women) category.

The writ petition is disposed of. No cost.
