The petitioner has been issued with 'Koli Mahadev' scheduled tribe certificate by respondent no. 2-committee but with incorrect spelling and improper form. He applied for a fresh tribe certificate on 06.02.2025 and the application is pending with the respondent-committee. 3.

The writ petition is disposed of directing the petitioner to appear before respondent no. 2 on 17.02.2025, surrender his original tribe certificate. Respondent no. 2 shall thereafter issue him a fresh tribe certificate with correct spelling/nomenclature of the tribe and in Form C, by 21.02.2025, merely resorting to an enquiry to ascertain genuineness of the certificate issued to the petitioner at earlier point of time.
