Mr. Pawar, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the post of Sarpanch of Grampanchayat Hartala is reserved for ST category. The petitioner belongs to SC category. Since the year 1995, the post of Sarpanch of the said Grampanchayat was never reserved for SC category. It was once reserved for OBC category and otherwise it was reserved for General or General (woman). 2.

We have heard learned A.G.P.

There are 11 posts of Sarpanch in Taluka Muktainagar for S.C. The petitioner has not placed on record the details of the other Grampanchayats where the posts of Sarpanch for S.C. are reserved.

(2) 966-wp-2800-2021 Whether the percentage of SC population in those Grampanchayats where posts of Sarpanch are reserved for SC is less than the petitioner is not placed on record.

The petitioner also has not placed on record the reservations of the posts of Sarpanch in other Grampanchayat to suggest that earlier the post of Sarpanch was reserved for SC category. 5.

In absence of the said details, no conclusive findings can be arrived at.

In light of that, writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
