Heard the learned advocate for the petitioner. The post of Sarpanch for village Panchayat Hokarna, Tq. Mukhed is reserved for O.B.C. (Female). The petitioner is elected as a member of gram panchayat from General (Female) category. The grievance of the petitioner is that, the post of Sarpanch ought to have been reserved fro general (Female) category. The learned counsel submits that, rotation policy ought to have been followed. 2.

We have heard the learned Assistant Government Pleader for respondents/State.

It is not pointed out how the reservation of post of Sarpanch for O.B.C. would be erroneous. Fifty per cent posts

2 wp 2824.21 from O.B.C. have to be reserved for female. In absence of any data on record and explanation to that effect, the petitioner cannot succeed.

In the light of that, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
