Mr. Deshpande, learned A.S.G. on behalf of respondent no.3 submits that at the time of filing of the application for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test the caste/tribe certificate is not insisted. The candidate has to simply state the category from which the candidate is applying. The tribe certificate is required at the time of admission.

In view of the said statement, the petitioner has got time to approach the Committee

wp2232.17 against the order of the Sub-Divisional Officer rejecting his application for issuance of tribe certificate.

Writ Petition is disposed of. In case such an appeal is filed by the petitioner, the Committee shall decide the same expeditiously, preferably within six weeks from the date of receipt of appeal.
