The prayers put forth by the Petitioners at Clauses (B) and (C), read as under :- "B) The respondents may kindly be directed to initiate the land acquisition proceeding to acquire 23G land, which is in excess possession of respondents apart from 4A acquired land of Sy. No.303 of Udgir as per joint measurement dated 11.05.2021 and pay the compensation to the petitioner. OR C ) The respondents may kindly be directed to handover the vacant possession of 23R land, which is in excess possession of respondents apart from 4A acquired land of Sy. No.303 of Udgir, as per joint measurement dated 11.05.2021."

The learned Advocate for the Petitioners points out the Panchnama dated 11/05/2021, which indicates a measurement carried out at the behest of the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Latur. The deceased Petitioner had donated land to the extent of 4 Acres for the construction of a Police Station. The measurement indicates that, 23 Are land is available with the Petitioners and it is prayed that the said land may be considered for acquisition and payment of compensation. It is in the municipal limits and if the 23 Are land is not being utilized, the same may be returned to the Petitioners.

We find that, a representation of the Petitioners, dated 30/08/2022, is addressed to the Member Secretary, Home Department, and a copy has been delivered to the S.D.P.O., Udgir, as well as the Superintendent of Police, Latur. 4.
In view of the above, this Writ Petition is disposed off. Let Respondent No.3/Superintendent of Police, Latur and Respondent No.4/Deputy Superintendent of Police, Udgir, consider the said representation of the Petitioners on it's own merits and convey their response to the Petitioners within a period
