Having considered the record available before us, most of which indicate Hindu-Koli as religion and caste of the Petitioners, prima facie, we are not inclined to direct the Education Officer to decide their applications for alteration of caste entries in the school record and other records. This is a serious matter and if a fraud or interpolation is noticed, the Petitioners will have to be dealt with strictly. 2.

Issue notice to the Respondents, returnable on 3rd September, 2024.

The learned AGP waives service of notice on behalf of Respondent No.1. Shri Bhise, the learned Advocate waives service of notice on behalf of Respondent Nos. 2 and 3.
