Mr. Deshmuikh, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is elected from S.C. category. The post of Sarpanch of Grampanchayat Borgaon is reserved for O.B.C (women) category. In fact, in the earlier elections also, the post of Sarpanch was reserved for O.B.C. (women) category. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the same ought to have been reserved for S.C. category. 2.

In absence of data of other Grampanchayats, it could not be possible to come a definite conclusion.
