This petition filed under Article 226 and 227 of the Constitution of India read with Section 482 of Code of Criminal Procedure, seeks quashing of FIR at Crime No. 130 of 2022 dated 23.05.2022, registered with Murud Police Station, District- Latur, for offences punishable under Sections 498-A- 323-504, 506 read with 34 of the Indian Penal Code.

During the pendency of present petition parties have amicably settled their matrimonial dispute. Pursuant to the settlement, divorce decree is passed by the Family Court on 22.10.2024. As per the settlement, parties have agreed to withdraw criminal/civil Bhagyawant Punde

{2} 909-WP-282-2024 proceedings against each other.

In view of amicable settlement of the dispute, no useful purpose would be served by continuing the prosecution against the petitioners. The Writ Petition is therefore allowed in terms of prayer clause 'B'.
