The petitioner's claim of belonging to the Mannervarlu Scheduled Tribe is pending adjudication from 23.05.2022. He would be appearing for the NEET UG-2023 examination, which is likely to commence any time after June -2023.

The learned AGP submits on instructions that the Vigilance Cell inquiry is still pending and the Committee would require at least 6 months to decide the claim.

Considering the above, this petition is disposed off with a direction to the Committee to decide the claim of the petitioner, on or before 30.06.2023. The petitioner would render wholehearted cooperation and would not delay the matter. If the claim is accepted, the Committee may issue the validity certificate within 10 days from the date of the order. We clarify that we have not expressed any opinion on the merits of the claim of the petitioner.
