DATE : 26th APRIL, 2023 P.C.:- Petitioner claims to be a serviceman working in the Indian Army. According to him, he has approached the court of Civil Judge (Senior Division), Ahmednagar, seeking divorce under Section 13(ia) and (ib) of the Hindu Marriage Act. It is the case of the petitioner that said proceedings have now been transferred to the Family Court. The contention of the petitioner is that since he is working in the army, he is unable to get leave to regularly pursue the matter. It is, as such, claimed that it is necessary to direct the Family Court to expedite the proceeding. If such an application is taken out by the petitioner for expeditious disposal of the proceeding before the Family Court, we deem it appropriate to direct the Family Court to deal with the said prayer expeditiously, having regard to the service background of the petitioner. 2.
