The learned counsel for the petitioner accepts that by passage of time, this Writ Petition has become infructuous. This Writ Petition pertains to the election of the Sarpanch of the Gram Panchayat of the year 2005. The petitioner herein came to be disqualified under Section 36 of the Bombay Village Panchayat Act, 1958 for alleged misconduct, however, due to efflux of time, nothing survives. Hence the Writ Petition is hereby dismissed as infructuous. Rule discharged. The Writ Petition is accordingly disposed off.
