This First Appeal arises out of judgment and order dated 27th April 1988, passed by the learned 3rd Additional Sessions Judge, Latur, in LAR No. 452 of 1994. The respondent is the claimant who had filed a Land Acquisition Reference for enhancement under Section 18 of the Land Acquisition Act.

The land of the claimant, admeasuring 96 R, came to be acquired
( 2 ) for percolation tank at Sakol. The award came to be passed on 13th August 1993. The learned SLAO granted a rate of Rs. 220 per R. By way of impugned order, the learned Reference Court enhanced the rate to Rs.800 per R.

The learned AGP points out an order passed in National Lok Adalat dated 1st August 2021 disposing of the matters arising out of the same project from which the present appeal arises. The First Appeal No. 29 of 2005, with all connected matters, was disposed of in National Lok Adalat. The awards came to be modified and the interest was directed to be calculated as per the judgments passed by the Full Bench in the cases of State of Maharashtra Vs. Kailash Shiva Rangari1, and the Hon'ble Single Judge in the case of State of Maharashtra Vs. Ramesh Tukaram Meshram2.

This Court does not find any propriety in not accepting the award of the Lok Adalat. In view of the same, the present first appeal stands 2016 (4) ALL MR 513 2018 (1) ALL MR 645
( 3 ) disposed off. The award is passed in view of order passed in National Lok Adalat dated 1st August 2021 in First Appeal No. 29 of 2005 and other connected matters.
