The learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners have filed applications under Section 28-A of the Land Acquisition Act before the respondent No. 2 in the year 2014. The same are not yet decided.

The learned A.G.P. accepts notice for respondent Nos. 1 and 2. 3.
In case, the applications filed by the petitioners under Section 28-A of the Land Acquisition Act (page no. 23) are pending with the respondent No. 2, then the respondent No. 2 shall decide the same on its own merits, in accordance with law and policy, after hearing all parties concerned, expeditiously and preferably within a period of nine
(09) months from today.

It shall also verify whether the appeal is pending. If the appeal is pending, certainly the Special Land Acquisition Officer would have to stay its hands off.

Writ petitions are disposed of. No costs.
