The applicant has been convicted for the offence punishable under Section 394 of the Indian Penal Code and sentenced to suffer rigorous imprisonment for ten years and to pay fine of Rs.5,000/-, in default to suffer further imprisonment for one year. He has already undergone the sentence of little over four years and eight months. It will take time for the appeal to come up for hearing.
