Mr. Kadam, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the post of Sarpanch of Grampanchayat Shahapur was never reserved for ST category since the year 1995. According to the learned counsel, considering the ratio of the population of S.C. the post of Sarpanch of Grampanchayat Dor ought to have been reserved for S.C. 2.

The post of Sarpanch has to be reserved for S.C. for Grampanchat in the descending order of population. The petitioner has not placed on record the details of the other Grampanchayats

947-wp-3036-21 where the posts of Sarpanch for S.C. are reserved. In absence thereof, no conclusive findings can be arrived at. The election for the post of Sarpanch is also over.
