Applications tendered by petitioners claiming rental compensation are stated to be pending and have not yet been decided.

In the circumstances, we direct respondents 1 and 2 to take decision on the applications tendered by petitioners claiming rental compensation, after extending an opportunity of hearing to petitioner as well as respondent no. 3, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six months from today and it is accordingly directed.

In furtherance of the decision by respondents 1 and 2, if petitioners are declared entitled to receive the amount of rental compensation, the said amount as determined by respondents 1

{2} wp2039-18.odt and 2 shall be paid to petitioner by respondent no. 3 as expeditiously a possible, preferably within a period of four months from the date of such decision.

With the directions as above, writ petition stands disposed of.
