This petition is pending since 1998. At interim stage, this Court on 3.4.2000 directed the respondent Municipal Council to pay pension to the petitioner regularly. We assume that the order is obeyed and the petition therefore, has substantially served its purpose. Thus, the petition stands allowed in terms of order dated 3.4.2000 and disposed of. Rule made absolute accordingly.

Civil application No. 3279 of 2000 does not survive and the same is also disposed of.
