In this writ petition dated 11th February, 2019, the petitioner has claimed following relief:

"(C) By issuing writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ, order or directions the respondent no.2 be directed to grant an approval to the appointment of the petitioner as Headmaster as per the proposal submitted by the respondent no.3 dated 14.12.2018 and release his salary grants and arrears of salary and pay him regular monthly salary and for that purpose necessary directions be issued."

It has been brought to our notice by Mrs. Deshpande, learned AGP appearing for the State that the proposal for approval of appointment of the petitioner as Headmaster had been rejected by the Education Officer, Zilla Parishad, Latur even prior to institution of the writ petition on 11th February,

2 WP / 2738 / 2019 2019. She has placed before us copy of communication dated 9th January, 2019 of the Education Officer. The communication is taken on record and marked 'X' for identification. It is recorded that copy of this communication dated 9th January, 2019 has been made over to the learned advocate for the petitioner. 3.

Once the proposal for approval of appointment has been rejected, nothing survives for decision on this writ petition. The same stands disposed of. No costs.

The petitioner shall, however, be at liberty to pursue his remedy in accordance with law.
