The learned Counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is having a child, who is three years old. By a representation dated 29.01.2020, she had requested the Education Officer (Primary), Zilla Parishad, Ahmednagar, to post her at Ahmednagar where her husband is working as a Primary Teacher or within the periphery of thirty (30) kms from Ahmednagar. The record discloses that, at present, the petitioner is working at Mose, Tahsil Karjat, Dist. Ahmednagar, which, according to the learned counsel for the petitioner, is at a distance of 42 kms from Ahmednagar. The learned counsel for the petitioner pointed out that the representation sent on 29th January, 2020, is still pending. sgp

We find that sufficient time has lapsed after the petitioner has sent the said representation. The learned counsel for the petitioner states that as the process of general transfers is underway, he will file a fresh representation to the Zilla Parishad for transfer on the basis of couple convenience. 3.

In such circumstances, we dispose of the petition with a direction that if the representation is filed by the petitioner for her transfer on the basis of couple convenience, the respondent/Zilla Parishad shall consider the representation on its own merits and as per the applicable rules and norms, as expeditiously as possible, within a period of eight (08) weeks from the date of said representation.
