PER COURT:

1] The petition with regard to the prayer challenging the election programme for the post of Sarpanch has become infructuous. The another prayer made is to decide the appeal of the petitioner filed before the Scrutiny Committee, Nasik Division, Nasik. The said appeal appears to have been filed in February 2014. The same must have been decided by now. 2] Learned AGP submits that if the said appeal is not yet decided, then, it would be decided on its own merits.

3] In the light of the above, in case the appeal filed by the petitioner is not decided by the respondent No.4 committee, the same shall be decided expeditiously, preferably within six months. In case the said appeal is already decided, the present order would not operate. 4] Writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
