Both the petitioners are senior citizens, who have retired from employment. It is pointed out that since a Government Resolution was introduced on 21st August, 2015 , the mode of payment of salaries of the teachers underwent a change with the introduction of HTE Sevarth Pranali. The payments of monthly salaries of these two petitioners was withheld between August-2015 to November-2015 and between October-2015 to February-2016, respectively. The petitioners are also praying for interest on the delayed payment. 2.

Though the learned AGP has opposed this petition, it is apparent that these two petitioners were not paid their salaries for the particular periods mentioned above.

In view of the above, this petition is disposed off with directions to respondent Nos.3 and 4, to calculate the unpaid amounts of monthly salaries payable to these two petitioners in the light of their claim put forth in this petition and after the exact amount of unpaid salaries is quantified, an interest component @ 5% per annum from the date when the payment became due till the date of actual payment, would also be calculated and shall be paid to both these two petitioners, within a period of 75 days from today.
