The petitioner is the original informant. It appears that during COVID-19 period when sudden directions were given by the Hon'ble Supreme Court, temporary bail came to be granted in terms of guidelines by the High Power Committee to the respondent No. 3 Gopinath Shankar Jadhav. This Court by order dated 22.09.2020 had granted temporary bail for a period of 45 days thereafter by order dated 04.12.2020 again that was extended by this Court [CORAM- Smt. Vibha Kankanwadi, J.]. Thereafter on 08.01.2021, that writ petition came to be disposed of with observation that the temporary bail would come to an end. After the notification under the Epidemics Diseases Act would end then the petitioner should surrender before the concerned Court. 78-Cri WP-328-2024.odt

Now, in this petition, the informant is seeking writ for withdrawal of the directions of the High Power Committee dated 11.05.2020 and also to cancel the bail granted by this Court on 08.01.2021. In fact on the date of the writ petition i.e., 12.02.2024 the cause of action had not survived for challenge to the directions issued by the High Power Committee and the order of temporary bail was in view of the out break of the COVID-19. The petition thus, could not have been filed to settle the personal score. Now, the respondent No. 3 has surrendered and the further proceedings have been taken up. Therefore, the writ petition does not survive.
