Mr. Shinde, the learned advocate for petitioners submits that, application to register the names of petitioners in the voters list of Mantha Legislative Assembly Constituency is rejected. 2.

The learned counsel submits that, as far as the petitioner No. 2 is concerned, an appeal is already filed before the Appellate Authority as per the provisions of the Representation of Peoples Act, 1950.

The Appellate Authority in that case shall decide the said appeal on its own merits, expeditiously and if possible preferably within a period of two (02) weeks from today.

As far as the petitioner No. 1 is concerned, the petitioner No. 1 may file a fresh application curing all the defects and the said application shall be considered by the authorities on its own merits, in accordance with law and procedure, expeditiously. 5.

In view of the above, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
