It is submitted that the validation proceeding of the petitioner is not accepted by the committee on the ground that the caste certificate is not in C format.

The learned counsel submits that the petitioner applied to the Sub Divisional Officer, Amalner to issue the caste certificate in C format. The Sub Divisional Officer, Amalner informed the petitioner that the certificate produced by the petitioner is not found to be registered with his office. The learned counsel submits that the petitioner applied under the Right to Information Act and was provided with the extract of the certificate showing the entry at Serial No.1122 of issuance of caste certificate to the petitioner.

The petitioner shall tender the original caste certificate with the Sub Divisional Officer. The petitioner shall also file online application. The Sub Divisional Officer shall consider the information received by the petitioner under Right to Information Act and after satisfying himself about the genuineness of the said information and the issuance of the certificate by his office shall issue the certificate in C format. After the certificate is issued to the petitioner in C format, the same shall be submitted to the Committee. The committee shall decide the validation proceeding of the petitioner on its own merits and expeditiously.

Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
