The learned AGP causes appearance on behalf of A. G., Mumbai.

The Petitioner has prayed for releasing the pension and pensionary benefits, after superannuating on 31st March, 2023. 4.

The learned Advocate for the Respondent Zilla Parishad, Jalgaon submits on instructions that the arrears of pensionary

- 2 - wp2191.24.odt benefits would be released within 60 days and payment of regular pension would commence immediately thereafter. He further submits that the pension proposal of the Petitioner need not be sent to the Accountant General either at Nagpur or at Mumbai. Zilla Parishad has to deal with the said proposal. Hence, Respondent No. 4 can be deleted from the proceedings.

In view of the above statements, this Writ Petition is disposed off with the following directions :- a) Zilla Parishad, Jalgaon shall decide the pending proposal within 60 days and ensure that the arrears of pension are paid to the Petitioner along with 6% interest, forthwith thereafter.
