PER COURT :
1.
The Petitioner's initial prayer is that the land of his biological brother, Respondent No. 4 Popat Ramnath Thorat be sold to him. We find that this issue has culminated before the District Collector and Respondent No. 4 has quoted the price which the Petitioner cannot afford. The Collector has, therefore, directed the Petitioner to deposit amount of Rs. 3,60,00,000/- only for one acre of land, as per the demand of his brother, which, the Petitioner is unable to deposit. In the alternative, the Petitioner prays that his brother should be convinced to sell the land to the Petitioner at Government rates and for this purpose, the revenue machinery should be utilised. We would not accede to this request. The
- 2 - wp2200.24.odt Petitioner then makes a third request that the objection pending with the Collector may be considered.
2.
In view of the last request, this Writ Petition is disposed off. If the District Collector has jurisdiction to deal with this issue in the light of the objections of the Petitioner, he may proceed to follow the due procedure under law. If there is no proceedings pending, the District Collector would not venture into allowing the Petitioner to start one more proceeding. 3.
Needles to state the Petitioner is at liberty to avail of any such remedy as maybe prescribed in law.
