The petition is premature since the programme for finalization of the voters list is yet to be published. Learned Government Pleader, on instructions, points out that preliminary voters list would be published on 25th February, 2015, and time will be allowed for raising objections in accordance with the Rules. It would be open for the petitioner to raise objections to the preliminary voters list before the Election Officer and the Election Officer would be bound to consider the objections and take decision and thereafter, finalize the voters list. It is informed by learned Government Pleader that even the Returning Officer has not been appointed and, as such, the allegations levelled by the petitioner in the instant petition attributing bias are unfounded.
