The petitioner states that in view of the resignation by several members, it is imperative that the Gram Panchayat is dissolved under the provisions of Section 145 of the Maharashtra Village Panchayat Act, 1959, however, no steps are being taken by the respondents. 2.

The learned AGP, on instructions, submits that the respondent No.3/ District Collector, Aurangabad has the power to order dissolution under that provision.
