ORDER :

Heard. Notice to Respondents. The learned A.G.P. waives notice for all the Respondents. 2.
The learned counsel for Petitioner submits that the Education Officer (Secondary) has already forwarded the proposal to the Deputy Director of Education for correction of surname in the school record, however no decision is taken by the Deputy Director of Education.

Mr. Patil, learned A.G.P. states that in case said proposal is pending, Deputy Director of Education would take appropriate decision on the same.

In case proposal (Exhibit F) is pending with the Deputy Director of Education, then the Deputy Director of Education shall take appropriate decision on the proposal
expeditiously, in accordance with the merits, considering the relevant rules and law, preferably within SIX MONTHS.
5.
With the directions as above, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
