The proceedings initiated under section 83 of the Maharashtra Co-operative Societies Act are stated to be pending with respondent no. 5. It is the contention of petitioners that they were not concerned with the affairs of the society for the period from 2003 to 2015 since the administrator was appointed. The body consisting of petitioners has been elected in the year 2015. Petitioner thus contends that they are not concerned with the past affairs of the society for which enquiry is initiated under section 83 of the Maharashtra Co-operative Societies Act. 2.

The ends of justice would meet by directing respondent no. 5 to take appropriate decision in the matter, on consideration of the reply tendered by petitioners, as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of four months from today and it is
