These Petitions are filed for grant of rental compensation towards the acquisition of the Petitioners' land for the Benitura Medium Project.

This Court, in a group of Writ Petitions, one of which is Writ Petition No. 12098 of 2015, directed vide order dated 5th August,

2 925WP2594.2018&11109.2018.odt 2016, that in case the applications filed by the Petitioners for rental compensation are not yet decided, the respondent authority shall decide the same on its own merits, in accordance with law and policy, after hearing all concerned, expeditiously and preferably within a period of 9 months. It is not in dispute that in the same Writ Petition, the concerned authority has decided the issue of rental compensation. 3.

The learned Advocate for the Petitioners seeks similar directions in the present petitions. The learned Advocate appearing for the Acquiring Body and learned AGP for the State submit that similar directions, as were issued in the above referred Writ Petition, be issued in the present petitions.

The learned Advocate for the Petitioners submits that the Petitioners will submit the Representation for rental compensation to Respondent No. 1 within a period of two (2) weeks. We direct that the Respondent No. 1, on receipt of such Representation, shall consider and decide the same on its own merits, in accordance with law, after hearing all the concerned, expeditiously and preferably within a period of six (6) months thereafter.
