Petitioners are praying for issuance of directions to respondents 2 to 5 to allot agricultural land to the legal heir of ex-leasor under the provisions of Maharashtra Agricultural Lands Ceiling and Holding Act, 1961 and in consonance with the policy adopted by the State Government in that behalf.

Learned AGP states on instructions that the procedure for determination of claim of petitioners and allotment will require nine months period. Communication issued by the Additional Collector, Ahmednagar on 24.08.2016 is placed on record and marked 'X' for identification. 3.

In view of communication referred above, we grant further time of six months for complying with necessary requirements and for taking decision in respect of claim raised by petitioners. Writ petitions accordingly stand disposed of with direction to respondents 1 and 2 to take appropriate decision in the matter as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six months from today and it is accordingly directed. Both the petitions stand disposed of.
