We have considered the submissions of the learned advocate for the petitioner and the learned AGP. We have gone through the petition paper book with their assistance.

The petitioner is before us as against a show cause notice issued to him by the Tahasildar- respondent No.2, dated 21-09-2021,

(2) indicating that he would be liable to pay Rs.3,43,284/- as on 21-09-2021. His goods carrier truck, which is commonly known as Dumper of Ashok Leyland company make, was found without a registration number and has been seized as it was apprehended carrying four brass of minerals. The petitioner desires that the vehicle be released and volunteers to deposit Rs.1/- lakh with the Tahasildar.

In view of the above, this petition is disposed off with the following directions:- a] The petitioner would tender an amount of Rs.1/- Lakh to respondent No.2-Tahasildar, Amalner on 21-07-2022 at 12.00 noon.

b] Respondent No.2 would commence the hearing in the matter in connection with

(3) the notice dated 21-09-2021.

c] The petitioner shall appear before respondent No.2 on the above stated date and time and participate in the hearing without seeking adjournments.

d] Respondent No.2 would conclude and decide the proceeding as expeditiously as possible and preferably on or before 30-08-2022.

e] If the petitioner moves an application for releasing of his vehicle, respondent No.2 would consider the request on it's own merits by applying the law in force and by imposing such conditions as he deems fit and appropriate.
