The petitioner is seeking correction of the school record in respect of his name.

It is being pointed out that the proposal was forwarded by the Headmaster of the secondary school to the respondent no. 3 - Education Officer (Secondary), Zilla Parishad,Nanded on 17.01.2015 (Exhibit - C) and it is pending since then.

We dispose of the writ petition by directing the respondent no. 3 to decide the proposal (Exhibit - C) dated 17.01.2015, if it has not already been decided, as expeditiously as possible and in any case within four weeks.

If the proposal is not traceable in the office of the respondent no. 3, the document at Exhibit - C shall be treated as the proposal and the order shall be passed in the light of the provisions of clause 26(4) of the Secondary School Code as interpreted by a Full Bench of this Court in the matter of Janabai D/o.
