The learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that the validation proceeding is pending. The vigilance is conducted. The petitioner has fled the say to the vigilance report. However, the proceeding is not yet decided.

We have heard the learned Assistant Government Pleader.

Under order dated 11th October, 2017 in Writ Petition No. 12417 of 2017, we had directed the Committee to decide the proceeding within a period of six months. Two and half years have lapsed. The same is not yet decided. Even the extension of time is not sought by the Committee.

If the Committee does not decide proceeding within a period of three months from today, we would be constrained to take cognizance of contempt against the Committee. 5.

The petitioner shall appear before the Committee on 25th February, 2020.
