The prayer of the Petitioners is for rental compensation. The possession of the land was taken in 2014. The award was delivered in 2015. The compensation was paid in 2021. The application for seeking rental compensation dated 20th December, 2021 is still pending with the District Collector.

In view of the above, this Writ Petition is disposed off with a direction to respondent No.2, to follow the due procedure laid down in law and deal with the representation for arriving at an appropriate decision within a period of 120 days from today.
