It would be open for the petitioner to avail of alternate remedy provided under the relevant scheme formulated by the Government for excavation of sand or he may approach the State Government or any other forum for redressal of his grievance. The forum, which the petitioner may approach, shall take into consideration the aspect of pendency of instant writ petition while considering application for condonation of delay, if any, that may be tendered by the petitioner along with appropriate proceedings. Interim relief granted by this Court on 01.03.2012 shall remain operative for a period of eight weeks from today, so that the petitioner can approach the appropriate forum. Writ Petition stands disposed of.
