Heard the learned counsel for the parties.

The petition has been preferred aggrieved by the communication dated 18th December, 2006, whereunder it has been considered and held by respondent No. 2 that the petitioner does not possess requisite qualifications to hold onto the post of Vice Principal

wp127-2007 and hence, approval to his such appointment cannot be granted. The effect and operation of said order had been stayed under the interim order dated 6th August, 2007 of this Court in present writ petition.

It is being reported that during pendency of this writ petition, the petitioner has retired on superannuation on 30th September, 2014.

In the circumstances, the purpose underlying the petition stands worked out. Nothing survives in the petition. The writ petition, as such, stands disposed of. 4.

In view of disposal of the writ petition, civil application No.9365 of 2008 does not survive and stands disposed of.
