It is submitted that Tahsildar has issued notice seeking diference of Najarana amount. The petitioners have taken up the proceeding before the Divisional Commissioner. The commissioner remanded the matter to the Collector. The petitioner deposited 50% amount with the authority. However, as there is no stay, the Tahsildar has issued notice demanding remaining 50% amount.

As the proceedings are subjudice before the Collector, we direct that the proceedings before the Collector shall be disposed of expeditiously preferably within four months.

The petitioners shall appear before the Collector, Dhule on 09.03.2020.

As the petitioners have deposited 50% amount as claimed, till the proceedings are decided by the Collector, the respondents shall not act upon the impugned notice.

Writ petition disposed of. No costs.
