We have heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the respondents.

The grievance of the petitioners is that PET-2 examination is now conducted online at the examination centre. The learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the discretion ought to have been given to the petitioners to appear for the online examination from the residence/place of work and examination centre as was done for PET-1 examination. Covid-19 cases are on the rise. The University has yet not made arrangement at the centre and the centres are not yet communicated to the petitioners. The petitioner No. 1 is the social worker and petitioner No. 2 is a student. The learned counsel submits that the petitioners are informed about the centres would be notified at about 5.00 O clock today.

Mr Thombre, the learned counsel for the University submits that all arrangements will be made for the students appearing for PET-2 examination at the centre. The social distancing norms , sanitization and the Standard Operating Procedure would be scrupulously adhered to. 4.

The petitioners have approached the Court very late. The circular was issued on 12th February, 2021 and the examination scheduled on 21st February, 2021. We hardly have any time to direct respondents to change the methodology of conducting examination. 5.

We hope and trust that University will provide examination centres at appropriate places for the students appearing for PET-2 examination so that they would not be required to travel long distances. 6.

With the above observations, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
