Having considered the scheme of law under The Consumer Protection Act, 1986 and keeping in view that a statutory remedy is provided under the Act, this Court is not expected to deal with the judgment and order delivered by the District Consumer Forum dated 30/10/2017 and the earlier order dated 19/03/2010, in view of the law laid down by the Hon'ble Apex court in the matter of Virudhunagar Hindu Nadargal Dharma Paribalana Sabai Vs. Tuticorin Educational Society (2019 SCC Online SC 1292] in Civil Appeal No.7764/2019, dated 03/10/2019 and Genpact India Private Limited Vs. In view of the above, these petitions are disposed off. The petitioners are at liberty to avail of a statutory remedy, if and as may be permissible in law.
