An award under Section 28-A of the Land Acquisition Act has been declared on 24.11.2014, however, the payment has not yet been made. The declaration of award, without offer of money, is in fact no award within contemplation of law. 2.

In the facts and circumstances of this case, we direct the acquiring body i.e. respondent nos. 1 and 2 to pay the amount of compensation determined under the award together with interest and all other benefits as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of four months from today. Writ Petition is disposed of.
